The FINAL of the Ashburnham English Song Awards for singers and their collaborative pianists will take place on Thursday, 16th May, 2024 in the Great Hall at Ashburnham Place. Eight singers and eight pianists (see below) were selected by live auditions held in London. Regardless of the competition, it promises to be a wonderful evening recital.

The AWARDS
We are delighted to announce that the prizes have increased in both number and value. Our recent grant of charitable status has drawn generous donations, but we have also been working hard, putting on events to raise both funds and awareness of the Awards. The Final is our chief fund-raising event of the year, and we are grateful for your support by attending. The ticket price of £25 includes a souvenir programme and an interval drink.
FIRST PRIZE for a singer, the Molly Townson Award, £2000
FIRST PRIZE for a pianist, the Hope Gosse Award, £1000
RUNNER-UP PRIZE for a singer £1000
RUNNER-UP PRIZE for a pianist £500
BEST DUO PRIZE to be shared equally between the singer and pianist forming the best duo £500
AUDIENCE PRIZE to be awarded by the audience £250
It is possible for finalists to win more than one of these prizes.
The music to be performed will be in the original English language and composed by composers from any part of the British Isles or Republic of Ireland.
