The Ashburnham English Song Awards (AESA) was founded by international mezzo-soprano Louise Winter in 2021 to celebrate and sustain English Song for new generations of classical singers and pianists. English Song is the finely shaped pairing of melody and words in the English language, written by composers from the British Isles and Ireland. This year’s judges include renowned baritone Sir Thomas Allen CBE, and one of our leading lyric sopranos, Sophie Bevan MBE.

Do join us for what promises to be a fantastic evening in which you’ll also have the opportunity to vote for the Audience Prize for Best Singer!
